Services Offered &
Techniques We Use

Reset PT offers rehab and wellness services that we feel are the most evidence based, research backed and well-studied in the industry. Our staff is well trained and highly educated and we have a passion for what we do! We love our patients and we love the partnerships we form with you as patient as we work together to achieve goals.

Manual Physical Therapy

Manual therapy simply means using one’s hands and “hands-on” techniques to provide therapeutic care. Our staff believes strongly in the power of manual therapy and pair it with standardized techniques such as strengthening and muscle re-education in order to achieve patient goals.

Manual Therapy techniques include but are not limited to:

  • Joint Mobilizations
  • Functional Dry Needling
  • Soft Tissue Mobilization
  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) also known as Instrument Assisted Neurosensory Modulation

Therapeutic Exercise and Activity

Let’s face it…we could all benefit in some way from some targeted strengthening and functional training. Therapeutic exercise is a staple of many of our prescribed plans of care and serves to improve muscular strength and motor control in order to decrease pain, improve posture, and increase overall functionality.

Deep Core Strengthening and Stability Training

Our deep core muscles are the kings and queens of our bodies! When these muscles are functioning properly we are almost unstoppable. Unfortunately, all too often these kings and queens are not functioning properly be it due to timing errors, poor recruitment or simply weakness. This dysfunction contributes significantly to back pain, neck pain, poor motor control and dysfunctional movement patterns. Re-educating, strengthening and stabilizing the deep core has a huge impact on overall function.

Neuromuscular Re-education

Do you fall often? Feel like you’re constantly teetering on the edge of falling? Just feel “off balance”? A little strengthening and neuromuscular re-education can go a long way towards improving your balance and stability which translates into decreased falls, decreased fear of falling and improved overall confidence.

Have you recently had children? Or maybe you had your children years ago… Either way it is possible that your core musculature has not recovered and could use a tune up. This tune up will translate into improved posture, decreased low back pain and often decreased urine leakage when you laugh too hard or jump and play with your kids (yikes!).

*Please note we are not pelvic health specialists and will focus our MommyPT on the core musculature*

Performance Enhancement

Whether you’re a professional athlete or weekend warrior, we all have aches and pains…and we all have a goal we’re working towards that we don’t want to give up because of those aches and pains. Don’t let these minor issues ruin your event last minute, or if you’re having aches and pains as you’re training for an event schedule a PT evaluation to ensure you don’t get sidelined.

Home Safety Review

Rugs with rolled up edges, free roaming pets, ill placed furniture or items placed in chairs or on the floor can all contribute to potential accidents in your home. Often, we have our home furnishings placed the way they’ve always been (and we like it that way, it looks good and suits our style!) In the meantime we’re aging, becoming a slower mover, requiring more assistance or maybe an accident has occurred and our movement patterns are totally different than they used to be. A home safety review can provide helpful tips for improving your safety inside your home.
